Their tech support just saved my bacon today. I had made some edits to wp-config.php and it worked well. So I copied the file to several other sites I own and thought nothing of it. I was tired and had been listening to Phillies game and was distracted.
Next day those other sites wouldn’t load nor could I log in to administer them.
Panic. I had copied the same file to multiple sites and that file had the same log in information especially the mySQL database name and password. That explains sites being down.
Since newer installs create that for you, I had no idea how to recreate them.
I called BlueHost and they said not a big deal. They could manually create a new user to the database and that would fix it.
And it did.
That is typical of BlueHost. Technically they don’t have to support applications only the hosting setup. But they seem to be more and more up on WordPress issues and gladly provided the workaround.
How much is that worth to you?
