THE HYPE AROUND WEB 2.0 AND AJAX APPLICATIONS

You may have heard the buzz about Web 2.0 and Ajax Web applications and thought, what is this stuff? How does it affect my Web site?

Web 2.0 refers to the second wave of the Web—the move from stagnant Web sites, which can only be edited by the creator, to a collaborative platform that empowers all users to generate and share content with the Web-based community.

Ajax, on the other hand, is the technology by which many interactive Web applications are created. Ajax applications improve a Web page’s speed and usability by processing user-entered data in real time without a page reload.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then is a movie worth a thousand pictures?
